Sustainable Cities and Communities

The United Nations have set out 17 sustainable targets to develop a better future for all. At WB we adopt where possible the World Green Building Council’s framework for sustainable building.

Goal 11 of the sustainable development framework is sustainable cities and communities. It's aim is to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

The world’s population is constantly increasing.To accommodate everyone, we need to build modern, sustainable cities. For all of us to survive and prosper, we need new, intelligent urban planning that creates safe, affordable and resilient cities with green and culturally inspiring living conditions.
